Konya hosts 4th International Ateşbaz-ı Veli Gastronomy Symposium

The 4th International Cook Dede Ateşbaz-ı Veli Symposium was held in Konya, organized by the Necmettin Erbakan University Faculty of Tourism with support from the Konya Metropolitan Municipality. The event brought together scientists and prominent figures in the field of gastronomy to discuss culinary culture, Sufism, and the Mevlevi tradition.

During the symposium, 82 papers were presented, contributing scientific research to the study of Ateşbaz Veli and his historical importance in Turkish and global gastronomy. The symposium aims to preserve the spiritual and cultural heritage of Ateşbaz Veli, who holds a unique position as the only individual in the world with a memorial tomb dedicated in his name within the Mevlevi tradition.
