Selçuklu Municipality signs security protocol for camera systems in Konya
In Konya, Selçuklu Municipality has signed a cooperation protocol with the Konya Provincial Gendarmerie Command to enhance public safety. The agreement focuses on the installation and operation of the Gendarmerie City Security Management System (J/KGYS) across 30 rural neighborhoods. The project involves deploying camera systems with fiber optic infrastructure, with a completion target of December 31, 2027. Selçuklu Municipality will provide the poles and cameras, while the Gendarmerie Command manages the infrastructure.
Separately, Konya is continuing its 'Traffic Courtesy and Etiquette Rules Project' through the 'Courtesy Bus' initiative. Supported by the Konya Governorship, the Metropolitan Municipality, and local education and police departments, the program provides traffic awareness and social etiquette training to primary school students. So far, 2,220 students from seven schools have participated in the program.
In Nazilli, Aydın, a three-day school security training program was completed for over 3,000 personnel, including teachers and administrators, to improve safety awareness and risk detection in educational environments.
