Konya mayor offers bicycles to children attending mosque mornings

Konya Metropolitan Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay promoted the city’s "Güle Oynaya Camiye Gel" initiative, encouraging children to attend 40 consecutive morning prayers during July and August. The program, run across all 31 districts, targets children born in 2017 and rewards consistent attendance with bicycles.

Altay said the project aims to foster spiritual development, strengthen community ties and make mosques a place of friendship and joy. He thanked the families for bringing their children to the early prayers and highlighted that the initiative turns the city’s mosques into a festive summer atmosphere.
