Konya Metropolitan Municipality provides educational support to 120 special education schools
Konya Metropolitan Municipality and the Ministry of National Education's General Directorate of Special Education and Guidance Services have launched a collaborative project to support students with special needs. Under a signed protocol, educational materials have been distributed to 120 special education institutions across the center and districts of Konya.
The initiative includes 97 boxes of specialized educational materials designed to assist students in their daily lives and facilitate their social integration. The program reaches 2,135 special education students.
Konya Governor İbrahim Akın emphasized the importance of these materials for helping children participate in social life and achieve independence. Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay noted that the project aims to make daily life easier for citizens with special needs, while Mustafa Otrar, General Director of Special Education and Guidance Services, highlighted the project as a successful model of cooperation between local governments and public institutions.
