Konyaaltı receives EIA approval for 4,574-unit TOKİ housing project

The Antalya Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change has issued a positive Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) decision for a large-scale TOKİ mass housing project in the Çakırlar neighborhood of Konyaaltı.

The project, planned to be developed in six stages across 206 blocks, aims to provide a total of 4,574 housing units. In addition to residential buildings, the development will include two schools, one mosque, and various commercial and social areas.

The project had previously faced legal challenges and the cancellation of its initial EIA decision due to objections from professional chambers. Concerns primarily focused on the hydrological risks associated with the Çandır Stream area, including potential flood risks, soil conditions, and the overall impact on local infrastructure and population density.
