Overview

The Antalya Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change has issued a positive Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) decision for a large-scale TOKİ mass housing project in the Çakırlar neighborhood of Konyaaltı.

The development is planned to consist of 206 blocks across six stages, providing a total of 4,574 housing units. The site will also include two schools, a mosque, and various commercial and social areas.

This approval follows previous legal challenges and the cancellation of an earlier EIA decision. Those objections, raised by professional chambers, centered on hydrological risks in the Çandır Stream area, specifically regarding flood risks, soil conditions, and the impact of increased population density on local infrastructure.
