Croatia hosts Balkan Wrestling Championship and various cultural festivals

Croatia is hosting several significant regional cultural and sporting events this autumn. In Koprivnica, the Balkan Wrestling Championship is underway, bringing together nearly 950 athletes and officials from 14 European countries for Greco-Roman and freestyle competitions across U15, U17, and U20 categories.

Literary and community events are also prominent. The Lit Link festival will connect Croatian literature with international scenes, focusing on the Netherlands with readings in Rijeka, Labin, and Zagreb. Additionally, various cities are celebrating Children's Week. Opatija is hosting a multi-day program featuring educational activities and talent shows, while Rijeka is organizing events centered on the theme of community volunteering, including robotics and museum visits.

Local community initiatives continue in Gospić, where the Society of Our Children is offering various educational and creative workshops for young children, and in Virovitica, where the municipal library has launched a renovated playgroup program to encourage early literacy.
