Koprivnica prepares new road project for urban expansion

Authorities in Koprivnica are moving forward with plans for a new road designed to facilitate urban expansion. The project involves the construction of an approximately 850-meter road in two phases, which will connect Bjelovarska Street to a future bridge over the Koprivnica stream.

The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Green Transition has determined that the project does not require an environmental impact assessment or a main acceptability assessment for the ecological network. The development will include a 26-meter wide corridor for the main road and a 16-meter wide corridor for a secondary road, both featuring pedestrian and bicycle paths, green zones, and utility infrastructure. The goal is to activate land south of the Koprivnica stream for future residential and urban growth.
