Korea University Guro Hospital expands bio-data and regional medical partnerships

Korea University Guro Hospital is advancing initiatives to integrate national bio-big data with industrial commercialization. During a recent workshop, the hospital’s National Bio Data Center and Open Laboratory Operation Business Group shared results from their first phase of development. Key discussions focused on the opening and utilization of medical data, legal and ethical considerations regarding electronic medical records, and the development of AI solutions for brain and spinal diseases.

In a separate development, Korea University Guro Hospital has signed a business agreement with Gangneung Medical Center to improve regional healthcare. The partnership aims to establish a sustainable cooperation system involving patient referrals, joint research, and the exchange of medical personnel to ensure regional patients receive timely and continuous specialized medical services.
