Korean Investment Securities adds 20,000‑won incentive for new BanKIS accounts
Korean Investment Securities announced that, starting in August, customers who open their first account through the BanKIS digital platform will receive a 20,000‑won investment support grant in addition to a random allocation of two KOSPI200 stocks. The benefit applies whether the account is opened via the company’s website, mobile app or any of its partner channels.
The firm has broadened its partner network to include the global financial‑information platform Investing.com, cryptocurrency exchange Coinone, and major internet banks such as Kakao Bank, Toss Bank and K Bank. By diversifying digital channels, the broker aims to make account opening, stock trading and other product subscriptions possible without visiting a branch, targeting novice investors and the 2030 age group, which accounted for 51.2% of new accounts from partner channels in June. Recent collaborations also include a stock‑investment competition with fashion platform Musinsa and the expansion of bond, commercial‑paper and repo trading to a 365‑day schedule.
