Korea Investment & Securities launches stock trading via Coinone app

Korea Investment & Securities (KIS) has integrated its Web Trading System (WTS) into the Coinone mobile app, enabling users to buy and sell Korean listed stocks without installing a separate brokerage app. The service, announced on Jan 27, is accessed through a new “Stock Investment” tab on Coinone, where investors can select a stock, complete simple verification, and be redirected to KIS’s trading platform.

The rollout follows KIS’s May strategic investment of about 800 billion won (≈ $600 million) alongside OKX Ventures, each taking roughly 20 % of Coinone’s equity after regulator approval. To promote the partnership, new account holders receive a 10,000‑won Naver Pay credit, while existing customers can earn additional credits and a chance to win a Samsung Electronics share.

KIS expects the collaboration to streamline asset management for clients who hold both virtual assets and equities, and it plans to expand similar digital‑platform alliances in the future.
