Korean Society of Cardiology to host Heart Day Walking Festival in Seoul
The Korean Society of Cardiology and the Cardiovascular Research Foundation will host the ‘Heart Day Walking Festival’ on September 19 at the Olympic Park Picnic Area in Songpa-gu, Seoul. The event is organized to commemorate the 2026 Cardiovascular Disease Prevention and Management Week and World Heart Day, aiming to raise public awareness regarding cardiovascular health and the benefits of walking.
Participants can choose between a standard 3km walking course and a 1.5km accessibility course designed for those with limited mobility. Registration is free and can be completed on-site on the day of the event, with souvenirs available for the first 1,000 attendees.
In addition to the walk, the festival will feature various health booths operated by 11 medical societies. These booths will offer services such as InBody analysis, blood glucose testing, ECG, and arteriosclerosis screenings, alongside professional medical consultations. Educational programs, including CPR training, will also be available. The event will include Zumba dance performances and prize drawings to encourage community engagement.
