Koridor 5C highway projects reach final stages in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Major infrastructure developments are nearing completion on the Koridor 5C highway in Bosnia and Herzegovina. JP Autoceste FBiH reports that approximately 20 kilometers of new motorway, stretching from the Zenica sjever toll station to the Golubinje toll station, are expected to be opened to traffic by the end of September.

Construction in the sections north of Zenica, including Vranduk, Ponirka, and Nemila, has faced challenges due to steep terrain and complex geology. The expansion aims to create a continuous functional network toward Žepče.

Additionally, final adjustments are being made to the decorative lighting on the Hercegovina Bridge. Located on the Počitelj – Zvirovići section, the 945-meter bridge spans the Neretva River and carries both the M-17 highway and the Sarajevo – Ploče railway. Technical teams are currently programming light scenes and color spectrums during night hours to ensure high-quality visual effects for the structure.
