Korman Ismailov says DPS is finished, Dogan a past figure and Peevski has no future
Former deputy and longtime youth leader of Bulgaria's Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS), Korman Ismailov, told the bTV programme “120 minutes” that the party’s era has ended. He described Ahmed Dogan as “a history” and asserted that Delyan Peevski has no political future, criticizing Peevski’s attempt to dominate the party from within.
Ismailov also noted that the Bulgarian‑Turk community will seek its own direction and did not expect a new “leader” to replace Dogan. He mentioned the possibility of an independent presidential candidate emerging from an initiative committee representing Bulgarian Turks and Muslims for the upcoming presidential election.
