KOSKEM saves 66 beachgoers in two weeks on Kocaeli coast

The Kocaeli Sahilleri Su Kazaları Engelleme Merkezi (KOSKEM), operating under the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, has rescued 66 people during the first two weeks of the summer beach season. Over the period 22‑28 June, lifeguard teams intervened at Cebeci, Kerpe, Bayramoğlu and Darıca, rescuing 33 individuals, while the total count for the two‑week span reached 66.

KOSKEM continues to patrol Kocaeli’s beaches around the clock, urging swimmers to use lifeguard‑monitored areas, obey warning flags and follow the directions of rescue crews to prevent drownings.
