Kosovo and Germany Launch Economic Empowerment Project for Women
Kosovo’s Ministry of Labour, Family and War‑Liberation Values and Germany’s development agency GIZ signed an implementation agreement for the “Economic Empowerment of Women” (EEW) project. The initiative aims to improve structural, individual and social conditions for women in Kosovo, expanding their access to the labour market and creating new employment opportunities, especially for women in rural areas and other under‑represented groups.
The project will support the development and enhancement of employment services, strengthen institutional capacities, provide career guidance, professional training and promote active labour‑market policies. A joint work group will be established to assess needs and plan activities in line with the project’s objectives. The agreement is part of the broader development cooperation framework between Kosovo and the Federal Republic of Germany, reflecting close bilateral partnership in economic and technical collaboration.
