Kosovo border crossings face traffic disruptions and landslide blockage

Heavy rain has caused a landslide on the Preshev–Gjilan road near the village of Depcë, close to the Kosovo border. The slide has blocked part of the roadway, limiting passage to a single vehicle at a time and prompting drivers to exercise extra caution.

At the Dheu i Bardhë border crossing, vehicle queues have stretched up to 1.2 kilometres, with wait times reaching 90 minutes for inbound traffic and about 35 minutes for outbound traffic. Similar, though shorter, delays are reported at the Hani i Elezit and Muçibabë crossing points. Authorities are urging travelers to check the current status of border points before departure and consider alternative routes where possible.
