Kosovo Dairy Association demands full enforcement of palm oil and milk powder ban

The Kosovo Dairy Association is calling for the full and unconditional enforcement of the Inspectorate's decision to ban products containing palm oil and powdered milk. While the Association noted visible improvements in supermarket networks, it claims these prohibited ingredients continue to circulate through direct sales in bakeries, restaurants, and other gastronomic establishments.

The Association has urged responsible institutions to halt illegal production and investigate the final destination of products removed from the market. They are demanding that operators who fail to respect official decisions face the revocation of their licenses, stating, “State decisions are not an option — they must be implemented!”

Furthermore, the Association requested a comprehensive investigation into the use and trade of palm oil and powdered milk over the last 15 years. They emphasized that the palm oil issue is a matter of national importance, affecting food security, farmer protection, and the national economy, rather than being solely an industry-specific concern.
