Kosovo launches subsidy applications for primary school textbooks
The Ministry of Education and Science of Kosovo announced that, starting 27 July 2024, parents and guardians can apply for subsidies to purchase textbooks and school materials for pupils in grades 1 through 9. Applications are submitted through the eKosova online platform and remain open until 9 August 2026.
Funding will be transferred directly to the applicant’s bank account. The scheme is also available to foreign citizens holding temporary or permanent residence permits in Kosovo, and for those without a permit but with children enrolled in Kosovo schools the Ministry will forward a list to the Agency for Information Society (ASHI) to enable access. Parents are required to keep textbooks in good condition and return them to the school at the end of the academic year.
