Kosovo police arrest two men in cannabis cultivation bust

Kosovo police, through the Directorate for Investigation of Drug Trafficking in Pristina, arrested two Kosovar men after catching them tending a cannabis plantation of 201 plants in Podujevë. Officers seized a small bag containing 1.7 g of suspected marijuana and collected plant samples for evidence. The suspects were photographed, their homes searched, and they were taken into custody for further investigation.

In a separate case, the Basic Court in Pristina ordered a 30‑day pre‑trial detention for a suspect identified as A.H., who is accused of participating in an organized criminal group involved in drug trafficking and money‑laundering. The court cited the risk of evidence tampering, flight, and further obstruction of justice, and noted the charges include illegal possession, distribution of narcotics, and laundering proceeds.

Both incidents illustrate ongoing law‑enforcement actions against drug‑related crime in Kosovo.
