Kosovo police detain nine individuals for drug offenses nationwide

The Ministry of Internal Affairs said that within a 24‑hour period nine people were taken into custody across Kosovo after police discovered illegal substances during routine checks. Arrests were made in Skopje, Kavadar, Tetovo, Negotina and other locations, with confiscated items including solid white powder, marijuana, tablets, knives, a baseball bat and metal knuckles.

A separate check at the Idrizov prison uncovered white powder and tablets on a detainee. At the Tabanoc border crossing a 26‑year‑old German national was stopped and found with marijuana in his luggage. The police emphasised that formal charges will be pursued for all cases.
