Kosovo power grid maintenance to cause outages in several villages this weekend

The Kosovo Electricity Distribution System (KEDS) announced scheduled maintenance on its high‑voltage network that will interrupt electricity supply in parts of the Prizren area. On 20 June 2026, the 110 kV line serving Theranda will be taken off‑line from 11:00 to 15:00, affecting the villages of Topliqan, Gjinoc, Sallagrazhda, Grejkoc and Gelacë and a list of local businesses.

A second outage is planned for 21 June 2026 on the 110/35 kV line in Prizren, with both transformer stations TR 1 and TR 2 offline from 10:00 to 15:00. The cut will impact numerous streets and neighborhoods in Prizren, including Gjeravica, Xhemil Fluku, Destan Billusha and many others, as well as additional commercial premises.

The work is described as necessary for system safety and the installation of new tower structures. Residents and businesses in the affected zones are advised to prepare for temporary loss of electricity during the specified periods.
