Kosovo power grid scheduled outages cut electricity to dozens of areas

The Kosovo Energy Distribution Company (KEDS) announced mandatory safety works on the transmission network for 1 August 2026. Power will be interrupted on the 110/35 kV line serving Prizren and on the 110/10 kV line, with outages lasting from 05:00 to 15:00.

Affected locations include the Euro Graniti, Atmaxha I & II, Tupeci I‑III, Landovicë, Tulltorja I & II, and a long list of streets in Prizren such as Besim Shala, Dervish Salihu, and many others. The interruptions are required to replace broken transmission‑tower columns, and the work is being carried out by the Kosovo Transmission System Operator (KOSTT).
