KEDS schedules electricity outages across Prizren, Ferizaj and Gjakovë
The Kosovo Electricity Distribution Company (KEDS) announced planned power cuts for 24‑25 June 2026 as part of system‑safety work and network upgrades. In Prizren the Zhuri area, Gorozhubi, Mile and Plane will lose supply from 10:00 to 15:30, while other zones face interruptions up to 18:00. Ferizaj will see outages in the Bobi, Ivaja, Kotlina and surrounding villages during the same hours for preventive maintenance and drone‑assisted defect removal.
Gjakovë’s eastern and western settlements, including Cermjan, Bardhaniq and surrounding villages, will be without power from 10:00 to 18:00 for network works. Additional cuts are scheduled in Dragash (Bresana area), Lipjani (industrial zone), Peja, Prishtina (Koliqi/Mash), Gjilan (Kamenica) and other municipalities, each ranging from three to eight hours. The measures involve the installation of new medium‑voltage towers, relocation of cables, and other infrastructure projects aimed at improving reliability.
KEDS communicated the timetable to the media, advising consumers and businesses in the affected areas to prepare for temporary loss of electricity.
