Kosovo weather forecast predicts sunny weekend with highs up to 33°C

The Kosovo Hydrometeorological Institute has issued a weather forecast for the weekend of August 15 and 16, 2026, predicting mostly sunny conditions with minimal cloud cover, particularly in mountainous areas.

On Saturday, August 15, minimum temperatures are expected to range between 10°C and 14°C, with maximums between 28°C and 32°C. Specific city forecasts include Prishtina and Peja reaching up to 31°C, while Prizren and Gjakova may reach 32°C. Mitrovica, Ferizaj, and Gjilan are expected to see highs around 30°C.

On Sunday, August 16, maximum temperatures are projected to rise slightly, reaching up to 33°C. In Prizren, Gjakova, and Istog, temperatures may hit the 33°C mark, while Prishtina and Peja are expected to reach 32°C.

Biometeorological conditions will generally be favorable, though increased thermal load may occur during midday due to the heat. Agrometeorological conditions remain favorable for crop development and ripening, although the dry and warm weather is expected to increase water requirements for vegetables, corn, and fruit trees.
