Kotor, Montenegro to host Bokeška Night festival and Fashion Bang runway show in August 2026

The historic coastal town of Kotor will stage the Bokeška Night cultural festival on 22 August 2026. The three‑day event, recognized as an intangible cultural heritage of national significance since 2014, will feature a nightly parade of artistically decorated boats across the Kotor Bay, followed by fireworks and a multi‑venue music programme in the Old Town squares. The municipal Cultural Center “Nikola Đurković” is inviting participants to submit designs by 10 August, offering €600 in financial support per entry and a €5,000 prize fund for the best creations.

A week earlier, Kotor will host the Fashion Bang runway show from 14‑16 August 2026 at the Trg od oružja. Montenegrin designer Sanja Matijević will present her “Into the Blue” collection, a line inspired by the sea and previously premiered in Vienna. The collection emphasizes blue tones, sustainable materials and traditional coastal motifs, with 15 models showcasing dresses and tailored suits intended for the autumn season.
