The carnival concluded on August 2 with a large parade that entered Kotor’s Old Town for the first time in 24 years. Carnival queen Tea Grgurević and capo Luka Knezović led about 20 groups, including participants from Greece, Macedonia and Croatia, in elaborate masked performances. The event received a “Memoria vivit” plaque from the European Carnival Federation, and municipal leaders Vojin Batuti and Vasilije Bajrović were honoured with medals, underscoring the festival’s regional significance.
