KPDN uncovers suspected cooking oil diversion in Port Klang raid

The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) conducted a raid in Port Klang, Selangor, uncovering a suspected cooking oil diversion operation. Authorities seized goods and equipment valued at more than RM211,000.

During the operation, enforcement officers discovered 5,091 kg of one-kg packet cooking oil and 5,000 kg of liquid suspected to be cooking oil stored in five Intermediate Bulk Container (IBC) tanks. Additional items seized included two rigid lorries, a forklift, an electronic cutting machine, an electric pump, hoses, and several mobile phones.

Five individuals, including three local men and two foreign men, were detained to assist with investigations. The case is being investigated under Section 21 of the Control of Supplies Act 1961 for the possession of controlled goods under suspicious circumstances.
