KPK investigates alleged illegal payments to ATR/BPN Ministry

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has begun investigating allegations of illegal payments flowing from regional land offices (Kantah) within the National Land Agency (BPN) to the central Ministry of Agraria and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN).

KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo stated that investigators found indications of these payments during an ongoing corruption probe. The investigation aims to determine if these funds are linked to official rotations, mutations, or promotions, or if they constitute routine illegal payments.

During previous searches at the BPN Regional Office in East Java, investigators seized billions of rupiah. Officials suspect this money includes payments from regional offices as well as funds provided by applicants for land services.
