By early October 2026, the investigation expanded to include allegations of illegal payments flowing from regional land offices (Kantah) to the central Ministry. KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo stated that investigators are examining whether these funds are linked to official rotations, mutations, or promotions. Addressing previous scrutiny regarding delays in his involvement, Minister Nusron Wahid has been scheduled to appear before the KPK as a witness on Wednesday, October 7, 2026. Investigators continue to trace seized funds to determine if they were used to fund the Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Muktamar. On October 12, 2026, the KPK seized a Toyota Land Cruiser belonging to suspect Arif Sugiyanto, the former Regent of Kebumen.
