KPK seizes luxury vehicle from ATR/BPN corruption suspect

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has seized a luxury Toyota Land Cruiser belonging to Arif Sugiyanto, the former Regent of Kebumen and a suspect in a corruption case involving the Ministry of Agraria and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN).

KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo stated that the vehicle was allegedly used to facilitate the collection of hundreds of billions of rupiah in illicit funds. The seizure is part of an ongoing investigation into bribery and gratification related to the processing of Building Use Rights (HGB) for PT Summarecon Agung Tbk in Bogor, West Java.

The investigation follows a sting operation (OTT) conducted in September 2026. Eight individuals have been named suspects, including high-ranking officials such as the Director General of Land and Spatial Control at ATR/BPN, Lampri, and the Head of the Bogor Land Office, Sontang Coin Manurung, alongside private sector representatives.
