KRAFTON announces PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS Update 43.1 and JUJUTSU KAISEN collaboration

KRAFTON, Inc. has announced Update 43.1 for PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, introducing new combat mechanics, movement improvements, and a collaboration with the anime JUJUTSU KAISEN.

New gameplay features include a unarmed kick action used to repel players or break objects like wooden doors and windows. Players can now use handguns and throwable items while on the water's surface, and swimming and diving speeds have been increased by 25%. Additionally, item interactions have been streamlined, allowing players to pick up, carry, or throw items to teammates without needing to use inventory slots first. Light Machine Guns (LMGs) have also received balance adjustments regarding aim speed, recoil, and spawn rates.

The JUJUTSU KAISEN collaboration brings themed content to the game, including character-inspired outfits and evolving weapon skins. On PC, the event runs from September 10 to October 14, 2026, while the console version will be available from September 17 to October 22, 2026. Some areas of the Erangel map will feature visual elements inspired by the anime.
