KRAFTON Chairman meets PM Modi to discuss $500 million India investment

KRAFTON Inc. Chairman Byung Gyu Chang met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi to reaffirm the South Korean gaming giant’s long-term commitment to India’s digital ecosystem.

KRAFTON plans to invest an additional $250 million in India over the next three to four years, bringing its total planned investment to approximately $500 million. The company aims to support the growth of local gaming intellectual property, startups, and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics, and deep-tech.

To facilitate these efforts, KRAFTON has established a $670 million Unicorn Growth Fund (UGF) in partnership with Naver and Mirae Asset. The company is also focusing on talent development through the KIGI Academy and has strengthened its local presence by acquiring Nautilus Mobile, the studio behind the ‘Real Cricket’ franchise.
