Krakow launches extensive Grzegórzecka Street reconstruction, tram service halted

From 4 July, Krakow begins a major reconstruction of Grzegórzecka Street that will close the tram line between Rondo Grzegórzeckie and the Starowiślna junction. Passengers are advised to use alternative routes provided by the city transport operator.

The street will also be closed to motor vehicles and cyclists on the work zones, with detours posted to avoid congestion. The works are scheduled to continue until mid‑August, after which normal traffic flow is expected to resume, improving road safety and public‑transport reliability in the area.
