Kraków police arrest hooligans following fatal assault

Police have apprehended several members of the “Młoda Ferajna” hooligan group following the fatal assault of Jakub Ch., a 36-year-old Hutnik Kraków supporter known as “Yankes.” The attack occurred in the Willowe housing estate in Kraków in late August, and the victim died while being transported to the hospital.

Some suspects were reportedly hiding in Slovakia before their arrest. In response to the violence, Wisła Kraków president Jarosław Królewski has implemented a ban on members of the “Młoda Ferajna” group from entering the stadium, a policy that was observed during a recent match against Wieczysta.

Despite the arrests and stadium bans, the group remains active online, posting videos of themselves to social media. These videos have drawn widespread condemnation from the broader football fan community. Legal experts suggest the incident could lead to further investigations into criminal activities linked to hooligan groups, including drug trafficking and organized crime, which may impact the club's reputation and sponsorship prospects.
