Kraków secures EU funding for new tram line construction

Kraków has secured 172.76 million PLN in European Union funding for the construction of a new tram line connecting Krowodrza Górka to Azory. The project, which has passed evaluation by the Center for EU Transport Projects, is estimated to cost approximately 250 million PLN.

The planned 2.3 km double-track route will include new sidewalks, bicycle paths, and a P+R parking lot for approximately 205 vehicles near Opolskiej Street. A tender for construction works is expected to be announced later this year, with the goal of signing a contract and beginning construction by mid-2027.
