Kreis Steinfurt organizes activities for Dementia Awareness Week

The Kreis Steinfurt Dementia Network is organizing various activities and information events to mark Dementia Awareness Week 2026, centered around World Alzheimer's Day on September 21.

The initiative aims to highlight the challenges faced by individuals living with dementia, noting that difficulties often manifest in small, everyday moments rather than obvious changes. The program focuses on promoting information exchange and raising awareness of available support services for both those affected and their relatives.

As part of this network, the Steinfurt district nursing advisory service provides ongoing assistance, including a weekly telephone dementia consultation service held every Wednesday.
