In Skopje, Mayor Orce Gjorgjievski has launched a massive ecological campaign involving thousands of volunteers, students, and local officials to clean over 50 locations, including parks, streets, and public spaces. The Mayor announced that these cleaning activities will now be organized twice a month to establish a tradition of civic responsibility. Additionally, the city is introducing new machinery and 3,300 new containers to improve waste management efficiency.

On the institutional front, the 11th Open Days of the Institute for Macedonian Language ‘Krste Misirkov’ have commenced in Skopje. The event, running until October 16, focuses on the protection and affirmation of the Macedonian standard language. During the opening, Speaker of the Assembly Afrem Gashi emphasized that the Macedonian language is the fundamental identity upon which the nation is built.

Furthermore, Mayor Gjorgjievski met with a delegation from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to discuss strategic investments for the city. Key topics included the implementation of a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system and the construction of a wastewater treatment plant in Trubarevo to improve environmental health and public infrastructure.
