KT and Acryl partner to expand medical AI services

KT has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with medical AI specialist Acryl to expand its medical AI transformation (AX) business. The partnership aims to standardize fragmented medical data across various hospitals and develop AI services that can be utilized for clinical practice, research, and hospital operations.

The collaboration will combine KT’s capabilities in AI, cloud, and data infrastructure with Acryl’s expertise in medical data platforms and AI solution development. Key areas of cooperation include establishing a foundation for medical data standardization, jointly discovering and verifying medical AI technologies and services, and pursuing R&D and commercialization.

KT intends to use its existing medical standardization model to support the adoption of AX in general hospitals and tertiary hospitals nationwide, offering customized solutions based on specific institutional needs.
