KT Rama Rao alleges Metro and Musi river scams by Telangana chief minister and BJP allies
BRS Working President KT Rama Rao accused Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Union Minister G Kishan Reddy of staging political drama over the Hyderabad Metro Rail project. He claimed the leaders are trying to transfer about 250 acres of Metro‑linked land and assets worth roughly ₹30,000 crore to family members and associates, and that they forced L&T Metro Rail to assume a debt of nearly ₹14,000 crore, creating a massive financial scam.
Rao also criticised the Congress‑led state government's Musi River project, saying it has displaced poor families and is being pursued for commissions and financial gain. He alleged that the BJP, despite public statements, is supporting the project, citing involvement of BJP leaders such as G Kishan Reddy. Rao described the scheme as a land‑grabbing initiative that benefits politicians and private entities, and warned that the state is being run like a “mafia state.”
