Kütahya Police Directorate staff receive effective communication training
A training session on effective communication was held for personnel of the Kütahya Provincial Police Directorate. The program was delivered by Mustafa Çağrı Demir, a lecturer at Kütahya Dumlupınar University.
Demir emphasized that police officers represent the institution in all interactions, and that communication skills directly affect public perception and the quality of services. The curriculum covered topics such as body language, facial expressions, bias reduction, perception management, stress‑filled communication, persuasion techniques, and the essential role of feedback. He highlighted that even non‑verbal cues, like clothing and eye contact, convey messages, and that breaking prejudices requires time and genuine engagement.
The training aimed to improve officers' ability to engage with citizens, build trust, and present a positive image of the police force in the community.
