In early August 2026, the Kütahya Provincial Police Directorate began a series of capacity‑building programmes. On 5 August, officers received a workshop on effective communication, covering verbal and non‑verbal cues, bias reduction and public perception, aimed at improving interactions with citizens and enhancing the police’s image.

The following day, 6 August, the directorate expanded its outreach by launching regular community drug‑awareness education in partnership with the Turkey Drug and Addiction Monitoring Center (TUBİM). The new initiatives – including the NARKO Rehber, NARKO Gençlik and “Best Narcotics Officer: Mother” projects – target teachers, parents, youth groups and the broader public, providing information on the effects of illicit substances and encouraging early detection and reporting.

Together, the two programmes illustrate a broader effort by Kütahya police to strengthen both internal professionalism and community resilience through targeted training and public education.
