Kütahya Police Expand Community Drug Awareness Training

The Kütahya Provincial Police Directorate, together with the Turkey Drug and Addiction Monitoring Center (TUBİM), has launched a series of regular education programmes aimed at raising public awareness of drug abuse. The initiatives, which include the NARKO Rehber, NARKO Gençlik and the "Best Narcotics Officer: Mother" projects, provide detailed information on the physical, psychological and social effects of illicit substances, signs of addiction, risk factors and preventive measures.

Target audiences such as teachers, parents, youth groups and the wider public are instructed on early‑detection techniques and the importance of promptly reporting suspicious activity. Police officials stress that “the strongest method in the fight against drugs is conscious individuals, caring families and strong social solidarity,” and pledge to continue the outreach to strengthen community resilience against drug misuse.
