KTM 490 Duke prototype spotted with new parallel twin engine
Spy shots have revealed a prototype for the upcoming KTM 490 Duke, a motorcycle designed to fill the gap between the 390 Duke and the larger 790/990 series. The new model is expected to feature a parallel twin engine, likely related to the 450 cm³ units used by KTM partner CFMoto, optimized for the A2 license category with an estimated output of 48 hp.
The prototype features an all-new steel trellis frame and high-end components, including WP inverted forks and radial brake calipers. This move positions KTM to compete more directly in the mid-range naked bike segment.
