Overview

On 17 July 2026 KTM announced the 2026 390 DUKE for Japan, priced at ¥829,000, equipped with KTM’s WP brake package, a 5‑inch TFT display and three ride modes. The model is built in India and carries up to four years of premium warranty.

Later in July, spy photos revealed a near‑production prototype of the 790 Adventure for a 2027 launch, showing fully formed bodywork, a re‑styled front fairing and ergonomic tweaks aimed at better touring comfort and off‑road handling. KTM plans to unveil the updated Adventure, likely at the EICMA show in Milan, as part of a dual‑tier strategy that positions the 790 series as an affordable alternative to the higher‑spec 890 range.

On 27 July 2026 KTM released the second episode of its “Master of Control” video series, shifting focus to the engineering of the 2027 790 DUKE. The episode details revisions to the engine, chassis and electronics intended to improve handling, acceleration, braking and cornering, reinforcing the bike’s claim as a benchmark in the middle‑weight naked class.
