KTM introduces 2027 enduro range and clarifies new desert‑oriented gearing

Technical Services Manager Rob Twyeroul explains that KTM, Husqvarna and GASGAS enduro models released from 2024 onward use smaller rear sprockets—such as the 14/42 combo on the 2026 300 cc two‑stroke—to suit desert racing rather than traditional trail riding. The change follows the introduction of standardized transmissions and Euro 5+ noise regulations.

Following a championship win at the 2026 Red Bull Erzbergrodeo, KTM unveiled its 2027 enduro lineup. The XC‑W range received refreshed graphics and an advanced chassis, while both XC‑W and XCF‑W models now feature WP XACT suspension and refined engine packages. The two‑stroke series (150 XC‑W, 250 XC‑W, 300 XC‑W) uses Throttle Body Injection for consistent fueling and smooth power delivery, and the four‑stroke 450 XCF‑W continues its race‑proven performance. Riders benefit from KTM’s global dealer network, parts availability, and a full suite of PowerParts and PowerWear accessories.
