KTM releases 2027 790 Duke with revised ergonomics and in‑house WP brakes

KTM has unveiled the 2027 version of its middleweight naked bike, the 790 Duke. The updates bring the model visually in line with larger Duke siblings, adding a new LED headlight, larger front fairing, reshaped fuel tank and sharper bodywork. Weight is reduced by about 2 kg.

The core change is a reworked rider triangle: a more open‑angle handlebar, repositioned footpegs for rider and passenger, and a revised seat to give a more natural, connected riding posture. Mechanical upgrades include a new WP‑developed radial brake system, updated WP APEX front fork (43 mm, 150 mm travel) and rear monoshock (170 mm travel) with adjustable damping via a five‑click dial. Standard tyres are Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV.

Power remains the Euro 5+‑compliant 799 cc LC8c parallel‑twin engine, delivering 105 hp (standard) or 95 hp for A2‑license riders. The demo mode has been discontinued. The bike will reach authorised KTM dealers in Europe by late July 2026, with a UK price of around £8,000 (≈€8,800) and market‑specific pricing mentioned for India and other regions.
