KubeCon + CloudNativeCon North America 2026 to be held in Salt Lake City

KubeCon + CloudNativeCon North America 2026 is scheduled to take place in Salt Lake City, Utah, from November 9–12. The event will feature BackstageCon on November 9, a dedicated full-day conference for adopters, contributors, and maintainers of the Backstage project. This session will focus on real-world production use cases and the integration of AI features within developer portals.

In preparation for the event, industry discussions are highlighting shifts in the cloud-native ecosystem, including the deprecation of Kubernetes on cgroup v1 and the increasing demand for edge computing to support AI inference. Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has noted that as intelligence becomes more distributed, purpose-built compute optimized for resource-constrained environments is becoming critical for operational success.
