KubeCon + CloudNativeCon North America 2026

Overview

KubeCon + CloudNativeCon North America 2026 is scheduled to take place in Salt Lake City, Utah, from November 9–12.

Initial preparations highlighted the return of Observability Day on November 9, a vendor-neutral forum for the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) community to address interoperability and operational challenges. Following the graduation of OpenTelemetry in May 2026, discussions have centered on applying observability to AI workloads, telemetry costs, and data quality.

The event programming also includes BackstageCon on November 9, which will focus on production use cases and the integration of AI features within developer portals. Broader industry trends noted in connection with the conference include the deprecation of Kubernetes on cgroup v1 and a growing demand for edge computing to support AI inference.
