KubeCon + CloudNativeCon North America to host Observability Day 2026
Observability Day is scheduled to return to KubeCon + CloudNativeCon North America on November 9, 2026, in Salt Lake City, Utah. The event serves as a vendor-neutral forum for maintainers, operators, and end users within the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) observability community to discuss interoperability and operational challenges.
Following the graduation of OpenTelemetry within the CNCF in May 2026, the community is increasingly focusing on applying observability technologies to new areas such as AI workloads, telemetry costs, scale, and data quality. The event traces its history back to FluentCon and has expanded to include various projects such as Jaeger, Fluentd, Thanos, and Prometheus.
Recent industry developments highlight the growing interoperability between OpenTelemetry and Prometheus. Additionally, Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) was recently named a Leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Infrastructure Platform Consumption Services for the second consecutive year, highlighting advancements in agentic AI-powered operations and hybrid cloud management.
